Remember those long drives to a relative’s house or to the mountains and 10 minutes into the trip you and your siblings in the backseat are nudging elbows and asking, “Are we there yet?”

It seems like that is where we are at as a community – waiting for the next phase to begin, waiting to get there.

Many times a week some of us walk expectantly down the halls and peak into rooms and around corners.  Not much seems to be happening on the inside. We can see that more windows are being removed. A few more trees and a few statues have been displaced on our grounds.

I impatiently await news of who is coming and what work they will be doing.  I don’t think I am alone. We all are grieving the loss of what we knew yet are anxious to get to what is to be.  I think the answer to our question will come without even having to voice the query.

Are we having fun yet????
