Here in northwest Missouri it’s hot.
Very hot.
Very, very, very hot.
One of the reasons we decided to renovate our monastery was to add central air conditioning to living spaces such as our bedrooms. Many of our Sisters’ bedrooms in the Marian Wing did not have air conditioning.
And on a day like today (95+ degrees with a heat index of 108)…Sisters would be searching high and low for a cool place to pray, relax, breathe.
So while we’re displaced at the moment, scattered among other buildings around the monastery that already have air conditioning, we are so grateful. Fortunately, our new project will ensure cooler comfort for our Sisters for generations to come.
For those not as fortunate, we hold them in our prayers that they find some relief from this heat.
