At a recent community gathering Sister Sean, our prioress, reminded us of the need to zoom out every now and then to gain a true perspective.
This renovation project is not the totality of our lives. So zooming out from the close-up focus on this aspect of our lives lets me reflect a bit about what else is going on.
We are still gathering, together, united in the Spirit to pray for the church, the world and our own needs. We continue to produce and distribute altar breads to the healthy and ill, the well-off and poor, those with enough and those that are in need.
We are seeking God in all we do and say from the depth of our hearts. We continue to take the rain or sunshine and hope the farmers and ranchers are not on the losing end of things this year. We are still living relationships with our employees, neighbors, families and friends.
We are and will be more than just bricks and mortar. We are living stones and will continue to be whether our perspective is close up or from afar.
