Today, the statue of St. Joseph (fittingly the patron saint of carpenters) was carefully removed from the top of the Marian Wing.
A special crane was brought in specifically for this special project.
Because of large trees we wish to protect located on the east side of the building, the statue was harnessed and lifted over the roof and lowered down the other side.
St. Joseph will be stored until he finds a new spot after the monastery renovations are complete.
