We got the power!

Great news! It’s been a busy week, and we are powering up!

Crews are tying the lines for the installed geothermal system, and the new generator has been delivered. Crews carefully lifted the 15,000-pound generator off the flatbed and into place on the slab yesterday. It was so great to watch…even if the day was a cold and blustery one.

Digging for energy

Crews dig through concrete to prepare space for new generator

In another area of our campus a work crew is digging out the spaces necessary for a new generator.

First the crew jack hammered a concrete drive.  Next the digging began…and then more digging…and more digging.

Hard work but worth it

These men kept at it even though the dirt was more like mud.  It felt like mud as it clung to the bottom of my shoes.  One of the workmen tried to sell me some dirt.  He knew where he could get plenty.  I thanked him and told him I did too.  All I had to do was take my shoes off!
