Rosie Stark stopped by the Clyde monastery, looking for something to do.

She stayed a little longer than she intended. Sixteen years later, she retired from our altar bread department.

Joining Rosie on her special day are (from left) Altar Bread Manager Sister Rita Clair, Prioress General Sister Pat, Rosie’s husband, Dennis, Rosie, and Clyde Prioress Sister Sean.

On Friday, we honored Rosie and her years of dedication, assisting our Sisters in providing quality altar breads as a member of the shipping department. If you’ve ever opened a box of altar breads from our monastery, chances are it was lovingly packaged by Rosie’s gentle hands.

Taking a little time to enjoy her gifts and time with fellow Altar Bread employees.

She and her husband, Dennis, look forward to a little traveling time. But as they live just down the road from us, we hope they’ll stop by and visit often.

Prioress General Sister Pat visits with Rosie’s husband, Dennis, about their retirement plans.
